Grange Village
Grange village is about 9 miles from Sligo town on the
main N15 Sligo/Bundoran road.
Close to Grange lies
Streedagh strand, scene of the storm wrecking of
3 ships of the Spanish Armada, in 1588. Wreckage,
is occasionally, still visible.
There are good beaches,
sand dunes, and at the south end caves with fossils.
Ahamlish Church (now disused) and cemetery are situated about
a mile north of the village just off the main Sligo/Bundoran road.
The cemetery is in three sections.
